Allegri Plotting Premier League Move

Former Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri says he is hoping his next job will be in the English Premier League.

Allegri Plotting Premier League Move

Allegri has been out of work since leaving Juventus at the end of the 2018/2019 season. In five years in Turin, the 53-year-old won as many Serie A titles, adding to the one he won in his time at AC Milan in the 2010/2011 season.

Allegri has been linked with a move to the Premier League in recent times, with Arsenal and Manchester United reportedly interested in bringing the Italian to the Emirates Stadium and Old Trafford respectively.

The Premier League is gradually earning a reputation as ‘the league of managers’ because of its high quality coaches and Allegri is hoping to test himself against the best in the division.

"I would like to experience the Premier League," Allegri told The Times.

"In Italy, I was in Milan four years. Five years in Juventus. Now I expect [to work again] in Italy, but it is difficult, or in England.

"England now is more sophisticated, and more tactical, but is also respecting the tradition of English football.

"It's a good balance of the spirit of English football and the new quality and new tactical approach of the new coaches.

"Klopp is doing such great work because Liverpool has the right balance. Every year they improve the team.

"Liverpool have players who are very fast, technical, are physically stronger, and they have character."
