Abandoned Bournemouth Vs Luton Town Game To Be Replayed In Full
The Premier League have announced that Saturday's abandoned game between Bournemouth and Luton Town will be replayed in full at a later date.
The game was stopped in the 59th minute after Luton Town captain Tom Lockyer suffered a cardiac arrest.
The game was 1-1 at the time the incident happened and was called off moments later, with both sides not in the right frame of mind to continue.
A Premier League statement added: "The decision to abandon the match in the 59th minute was made collectively between the match officials, players, managers from both clubs and the Premier League.
"The league would like to thank the medical staff and all those involved for their swift actions in responding to what was an extremely upsetting situation for everyone.
"We wish Tom a continued recovery and our thoughts are with him, his family and all those at Luton Town FC."
The 29-year-old Wales defender has made 15 appearances for Luton Town in the Premier League, scoring one goal.
