Zidane Not Worried About Bale

By Joshua Walters

Zinedine Zidane has revealed he has no issue with Gareth Bale's stay as he thinks it will have no effect on the club.

Real Madrid for sometime have desired to offload the left-wing player as the return of Zidane in March seems to amplify the idea.

But the Welsh forward is nowhere near a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu which Zidane believes he remaining with Real Madrid will not affect the side in any way.

"Him staying is not a problem.

"I can't say that the player is a problem. He has a contract, he is here and what I can say is that anything could happen.

"I have to respect all the players, he is with us and he is a Real Madrid player.

"We will see what will happen. His role has not changed compared to in June."

Having enjoyed limited first-team opportunities in Zidane's first spell with Los Blancos, Bale was linked with several European clubs as it was reported he is near a return to his former club Tottenham Hotspurs.

However, all ended as false reports after it was revealed he is still staying with the Spanish giants even in the second coming of Zidane, a figure he seems to have an uneasy relationship with.

Bale scored 8 goals and three assists in twenty-nine LaLiga games for Real Madrid last term aside his 3 goals in seven Champions League appearances.

As part of a rebuilding project at the club, Real Madrid have had a busy transfer window, having signed Chelsea's Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic, Ferland Mendy and others to augment their squad.
