Sevilla inflicted total humiliation on Levante and their manager Paco López with a brutal 6-2 victory at the Estadi Ciutat de València on Sunday.

Pablo Machín’s men have won only one of their last six visits to Levante, but when the time came for them to change history, Sevilla did it in grand style with Ben Yedder fetching a hat trick and Daniel Carrico, Andre Silva, and Pablo Sarabia, scoring a goal each in-between Antonio Luna and Mose Simon’s consolation goals.

Ben Yadder opened the floodgates in the 11th minutes when he fed on Pablo Sarabia’s clever pass to measure in a shot beyond the goalkeeper.

The joy was, however, short-lived for the visitors as Marti Roger shot Antonio Luna’s pass into the bottom right corner in the 12th minute to up for the hosts.

Sevilla restored the lead in the 21st minute when Daniel Carrico out jumped the Sevilla back line to send in a thunderous header into the top of the net from long range.

The hosts were presented with an opportunity to level up again after five minutes when referee Guillermo Cuadro Fernandez awarded them a penalty after Aleix Vidal’s bad tackle on Sergio Postigo. But, Sevilla goalkeeper, Tomas Vacklik, pulled up a wonderful save to deny Jose Morales from burying the ball at the bottom right corner.

Ben Yadder grabbed his brace in the 35th minute with a cool finish into the top left corner to Pablo Sarabia’s pass and completed his hat-trick ten minutes later by capitalising on Oier’s mistake to finish with a simple tap in

Andre Silva riffled a rebound shot into the middle of the net in the 49th minute, ten minutes before Ben Yedder squared a pass to Pablo Sarabia, who beat Oier with a brilliant shot into the bottom right corner.

Debutante Moses Simon reduced the deficit for the hosts on the 90 minutes mark when he controlled a cross with his chest inside the penalty box and fired in a shot which deflected past Tomas Vacklik before going into the net.
