Ramos Reveals Ronaldo Never Called Him For A Reunion At Juventus

Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has disclosed that his former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo never called him for a reunion at Juventus.

Ramos alongside Ronaldo won the Champions League trophy three consecutive times, and four times in total, before the latter made a shocking move to the Turin outfit.

The departure of Ronaldo saw a struggling Madrid side in the 2018/19 as they were crushed out of the Champions League by Eredivisie side Ajax and also finished third on the league log.

The Spanish defender was heavily linked with a move away from the Los Blancos which was confirmed by the club president Florentino Perez that there are offers from China for the defender.

But the former Sevilla player in a press conference has assured the Bernabeu fans he will stay with the club despite the links as he also stressed there was no call from Ronaldo to join him at Juventus.

"It is true that I have an offer from China on the table, I will not lie about it. My dream is to retire here.

"With Cristiano Ronaldo I always had a great relationship. But I continued with Real Madrid, the market rumors- let's leave them aside. Has CR7 called me to Juventus? No, no.

"I am the captain of Real Madrid and I feel very loved and supported by my team-mates.

"I'm not looking to renew [my contract]. I am happy with what I have.

"People always think it's a strategy to earn more, but it's the opposite."

Following their exit from the Champions League, Ramos was criticised by some section of the fans for his deliberate booking in the first leg as many see that to be the cause of their elimination.

With the return of Zinedine Zidane who left the club with Ronaldo, Madrid look to rebuild a formidable side to regain their domestic and international prestige with the signings of Luka Jovic, Eder Militao and Chelsea's talisman, Eden Hazard.
