Pochettino Sticks With Harry Kane

Harry Kane performed rarely in recent games for Tottenham Hotspur, but Mauricio Pochettino has no plans of dropping him as he describes the possibility as ‘crazy’.
Kane did not just fail to score, but also performed poorly as Tottenham lost to Watford and Liverpool, and there are calls on the Spurs manager to bench as Spurs start their 2018/19 UEFA Champions League with a trip to Inter Milan on Tuesday.
“I think we would be crazy to think different. Yes, I don’t know what you expect from me, or what you think my answer should be”, Pochettino said after being asked pre-match press conference, if Harry Kane will start against Inter Milan.
“He’s one of the best strikers in the world. I don’t care that he wasn’t great against Liverpool. He’s going to score goals and he’s going to perform in the way we want and we expect. No problem.”
Pochettino, however, ruled out fatigue, adding that Spurs' lack of firepower is a collective cause than Kane’s.
“I don’t believe that fatigue is the issue. I only believe the situation of the team is more collective than that. “If you say it’s only Harry, I don’t like it when people point the finger at some players.”
“It’s always collective and we need to help him, to give the ball in a better position for him to be more clear. But it’s a collective thing, not just Harry.”
