Florentino Perez says there is the possibility of Cristiano Ronaldo returning to Real Madrid one day.
According to the Los Blancos President, the Portuguese star is fans’ favourite and heir to Real Madrid legend Alfredo DI Stefano.
Cristiano Ronaldo left Real Madrid for Juventus in the summer, after a nine-year stint, for €112 million much to the disappointment of Perez, the club’s hierarchy and the fans.
Ronaldo wrote his name in the hearts of the Madridistas by winning four Ballon d’Or, four UEFA Champions League titles, with the last being the previous season, two league titles amongst others.
The Portuguese national team captain left Madrid as their highest goal scorer, and Perez told journalists at the Monday’s 2018 FIFA gala that he would have hugged Ronaldo if he had attended the programme.
“Cristiano is the heart of every Real Madrid fan. If I had seen him today, I would have hugged him. He is the natural successor of Di Stefano and he will be back at Real Madrid one day.”
