Neil Warnock Blasts Liverpool Over Clyne

Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock has slammed Liverpool for choosing to send Nathaniel Clyne on loan to Bournemouth rather than the Bluebirds after he saw the announcement of the transfer on television.
Warnock revealed that Liverpool promised to lend him Clyne for the second half of the season to help Cardiff City in their battle to beat the drop, but was astonished to learn on Friday that the England international had joined Bournemouth instead.
Warnock gave Nathaniel Clyne his professional debut as a 17-year-old in October 2008 when he was the manager of the then-Championship side Crystal Palace and was expecting that connection to sway Clyne’s attention to the Welsh club.
"It's a disgrace," Warnock told BBC Radio Wales.
"I was disappointed with Nathaniel Clyne, having known the player and giving him his debut."
"I'm not just disappointed with the boy himself, but with Liverpool as well for not ringing me, not telling me."
"To see it on television when I've done everything right and they have promised he is my player this week, it's a disgrace and a lack of class."
“When you are waiting and doing it properly, I think you deserve respect and I don’t think they showed us any.”
To make matters worse for Warnock, he also revealed how waiting on the Clyne deal made him miss out on three other players.
“I’ve lost out on three players because of that by waiting. I lost out on a couple of full-backs and a striker because I couldn’t use the loan up. I’m doubly disappointed really."
