Mourinho: A Former Player Has Asked Me To Join His Club

Former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has revealed that one of his former players, believed to be Cristiano Ronaldo, has asked him to join his club.
Mourinho’s latest revelation has added to rumors that he could be set to replace Massimiliano Allegri as Juventus manager.
Allegri parted company with the Italian champions after five seasons in charge, which yielded five straight Serie A titles.
Widespread reports in Italy on Monday suggested that Cristiano Ronaldo would want his compatriot to take over at the Allianz Stadium, having previously achieved success together at Real Madrid.
Speaking to BeIN Sports, Mourinho said: "One of the players that I have a great relationship with him, he plays for a team and he told me, "You should come here next season" and I told him, "They don't love me".
"He told me, "You win three matches and they will start loving you".
"This is just... we are professionals and we have respect for each other, even when we have bad reactions on the pitch, in the press conference, a player be more aggressive with another one.
"It's people from the same industry and in the end, people respect each other."
Despite Allegri’s domestic successes with the Old Lady, one factor which led to his departure was his inability to bring the Champions League trophy to Turin after two final losses in 2015 and 2017.
Mourinho has already won the Champions League twice with FC Porto in 2004 and Inter Milan in 2010, and Ronaldo believes the Portuguese trainer could be the missing link to European glory.
Mourinho’s past affiliation to Juventus’ rivals, Inter Milan, could be a hindrance to his appointment, while his relation to the Bianconerri’s fans has been made even frostier after capping his ear in celebration when leading Manchester United to victory at the Allianz Stadium in November last year.
