Mbappe: My Stats Are Good But PSG Is Better

Kylian Mbappe made a new record in the French Ligue 1 over the weekend by scoring to become the first ever player in forty-five years to score nineteen goals in his opening eighteen games.

Mbappe scored the only goal of the game on Sunday as his side defeated Saint-Etienne 1-0 with the player setting a new record in the league.

The French player told Canal+ after the game he was fascinated by his individual records though he fancied the team's collective run.

"We played against a good team, especially at home.”

"Few teams will come here to win, we did it. We are happy and we leave with the three points.

"We must continue and aim as high as possible. My stats are good, but the team is better."

Mbappe has played 18 Ligue 1 games, scoring 19 goals and providing six assists, aside from a four-goal tally in seven Champions League appearances.

The former AS Monaco player has been an integral member in Thomas Tuchel's side, who lead the domestic league table with 62 points.

Kylian Mbappe joined the Paris outfit in 2017 from AS Monaco on an initial loan deal before he was bought permanently after a year in a deal that made him the most expensive teenager in the sports.
