Madrid Trio Wins Top Champs League Awards

Real Madrid’s trio Keylor Antonio Navas, Sergio Ramos and Luka Modric have picked up UEFA Champions League Best Player awards.

The goalkeeper, defender and midfielder respectively helped Real Madrid to their third successive Champions League trophy last season, and the trio received their award for their outstanding performances at the 2018/19 UEFA Champions League draw and awards event at Monaco Thursday.

Navas picked the Best Goalkeeper award, Sergio Ramos was voted the Best Defender with Luka Modric also picking up the Best Midfielder award.

Sergio Ramos, 32, warded off the challenge from teammates Raphael Verane and Marcelo; Juventus', Giorgio Chiellini, Liverpool’s Dejan Loven and five other top defenders.
