Karius: Ramos Yet To Apologise To Me
By Danny Ward
Loris Karius has revealed Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has ‘never apologised’ to him for elbowing him in last season’s Champions League final.
Ramos' right elbow appeared to be flashing Karius's face inside the six-yard-box, following a push from behind by Virgil van Dijk.
Karius complained to Serbian referee Milorad Mazic but was ignored, and the Liverpool goalkeeper went on to commit two blunders which resulted in Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale, scoring a goal each to win the game 3-1 for the Los Blancos.
Karius had a computed tomography scan in Boston and announced later he suffered a concussion, but told Bild Ramos has never apologised for that incident.
“Only he knows if I was injured on purpose, but he has never apologized to me,” Karius told Bild, as cited by Cadena Cope.
“It has proved that I suffered a visual impairment. Under normal conditions, I do not make that error so I cannot explain it.”
