Juventus’ wing-back Joao Cancelo has expressed his love for Inter Milan, despite helping the Bianconeri to defeat the Nerazzurri 1-0 on Friday night.

The 24-year-old Portuguese spent last season on loan at Inter Milan from Valencia but failed to agree to a permanent move to the San Siro.

Cancelo’s performances were however enough to convince Juventus to cough out a reported €40m for his services.

The former Benfica youth product has played 12 times in the Serie A this season, contributing two assists.

"It was an important victory against Inter who are a great team and a direct rival for the Scudetto," the Benfica academy product told Sky Sports Italia.

"Inter were a very important team for me, that made me grow a lot. Now I'm wearing Juventus' colours and I think only of Juve, but Inter remains in my heart."
