Joe Gomez Out For Six Weeks After Fractured Bone
By Joshua Walters
Liverpool have been dealt a huge injury blow as defender Joe Gomez has been ruled out for at least six weeks after suffering a fractured bone.
Gomez visited the Spire Hospital in Liverpool for treatment on Thursday and left with the left leg in a brace while walking with clutches.
The England defender sustained the injury after an aggressive tackle by Burnley’s Ben Mee in Liverpool's 3-1 win over the Clarets on Wednesday.
Gomez was stretched off the pitch and a report after the diagnoses confirmed a fractured bone and a six-week spell on the sidelines.
Gomez has been a regular starter for the club, but is expected to be off for the rest of 2018, which will see him miss the Premier League game against Bournemouth and the Champions League deciding match with Napoli.
