Coutinho Uncertain Of His Barcelona Future
By Joshua Walters
Philippe Coutinho claims he does not know if he will stay with Barcelona next season.
The former Liverpool man believes everything is possible in the future as he cannot confirm where he will be playing in the coming season.
Coutinho had a torrid season at the Camp Nou last term as he admitted earlier this week that he has to improve to justify his huge money move to the Catalan city.
Despite having a tough campaign, Coutinho has made a bright start in the Copa America having scored twice in Brazil's first game against Bolivia.
With Manchester United and French giants Paris Saint-Germain rumoured to be interested in his services the versatile midfielder is keen on helping Brazil to win the Copa America on their home soil.
Coutinho joined Barcelona from Liverpool in 2017 for a reported fee that could rise to £142 million as he signed a five-year contract.
The 27-year old since arriving in Spain has won two LaLiga titles with the Blaugrana.
In the 2018/19 season Coutinho recorded 5 goals in thirty-four league games with his twelve Champions League appearances yielding three goals.
But the Brazilian who was booed on several occasions by the Barcelona fans at the Camp Nou for his wobbling performances for the side left his future at the club uncertain in his recent interview.
"I do not know. The future, nobody knows," Coutinho told reporters when asked if he will leave Barcelona.
"I am focused to play with the national team now."
