The group stages of the 2020/2021 UEFA Champions League have been held in Switzerland with some mouth-watering pairings for football fans to look forward to.

The biggest talking point for many centers around Juventus locking horns with Barcelona in the same group, meaning two of the game’s greats, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, will renew their rivalry in the group stage of the competition for the first time.

European champions Bayern Munich are in the same group with Atletico Madrid while French champions Paris Saint Germain will square off with Manchester United.

New Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy faces a swift reunion with old employers Stade Rennes after the Blues were drawn to face the French Ligue 1 side in Group E, which also has Europa League winners Sevilla in there.

Real Madrid are in the same group with Inter Milan while Liverpool will face Ajax Amsterdam.

Manchester City will meet FC Porto and Zenit Saint Petersburg are in a group that comprises Dortmund, Lazio and Club Brugge.

The first round of group stage games will take place on October 20 and 21.

The final will be staged at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul on May 29, 2021.
