Despite having three more years on his current contract with the Serie A champions, the former Manchester United goal poacher believes he is nearing his retirement year.

Following a successful spell with Real Madrid, winning three consecutive Champions League titles with the White Angels, the 34-year-old has somewhat failed at Juventus after they were unable to win the Champions League last season, a prime target for the Bianconeri.

Going into a new season and with Juventus bringing in new faces to augment their squad, a Champions League glory still remains the ultimate goal for Maurizio Sarri’s side.

But Cristiano Ronaldo, who looks to win the accolade with his new club this time around has disclosed he could hang up his boots next year.

“I don’t think about that,” Ronaldo told TVI.

“Maybe I can finish my career next year... but I can also play up to 40 or 41.

“I don’t know. What I always say is to enjoy the moment. The gift is excellent and I have to continue to enjoy it.

“Are there any football players who have more records than me?” he asked.

“I don’t think there are any footballers who have more records than me.”

Playing his first season for Juventus last season, Ronaldo adapted easily to the Serie A game as he managed to bulge the net 21 times with eight assists in thirty-one appearances aside his 6 goals in nine Champions League fixtures.
