Osimhen Threatens Legal Action Against Napoli For Ridiculing Penalty Miss
Victor Osimhen has threatened legal action against his own club Napoli for ridiculing his penalty miss against Bologna over the weekend.
Osimhen failed to hit the target from 12 yards as Napoli's stuttering start to the season under new manager Rudi Garcia continued with a goalless encounter on Sunday.
After getting substituted five minutes from time, Osimhen got into a heated exchange on the touchline with Garcia.
Napoli's official TikTok account made light of the whole situation with a video post on Tuesday which has not gone down well with the Nigeria striker's entourage.
An official statement from Osimhen's agent, Roberto Calenda read: “What happened today on Napoli’s official profile on the TikTok platform is not acceptable. A video mocking Victor was first made public and then, but now belatedly, deleted.
"A serious fact that causes very serious damage to the player and adds to the treatment that the boy is suffering in the last period between media trials and fake news.
“We reserve the right to take legal action and any useful initiative to protect Victor.”
Osimhen contributed 26 goals in 32 Serie appearances last season as Napoli won the title for the first time in 33 years.
