Kroos Welcomes Potential Alaba Arrival To Real Madrid
Toni Kroos has welcomed the potential arrival of Bayern Munich defender David Alaba to Real Madrid next season.
Alaba’s contract with the Bavarians expires at the end of the season and he has announced he will be seeking a new challenge outside Germany in the upcoming campaign.
It remains to be seen where next Austria international will be plying his trade but the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City are all reportedly keeping tabs on Alaba.
Kroos played with Alaba at the Allianz Arena before switching camp to the Spanish capital in the summer of 2014, with the pair winning the Champions League together under Jupp Heynckes, and the Germany international is adamant the 28-year-old’s quality will improve Zinedine Zidane’s side.
“Here you need quality, that you are physically there, that your head can handle many situations,” Kroos told Sky Germany. “You need more than just sporting quality.
“I haven't played with him for almost seven years. So it's a little difficult for me to say how and what he thinks.
“I've already read the name Alaba in connection with Real Madrid, but I don't have any information on it now.
“If you're a regular at Bayern, then you definitely have the athletic quality to play at Real Madrid.
“That's clear, but we'll see what will come of it in the end."
