Klopp Warns Man Utd A Repeat Of Liverpool Performance Will Earn Them Arsenal Hammering
Jurgen Klopp has warned Manchester United they will get beaten by Arsenal if they play like they did against Liverpool on Sunday.
Manchester United put a dent in Liverpool's title aspirations by claiming a 2-2 draw at Old Trafford.
But for large spells of the game Liverpool were the better side, although the Reds needed an 84th minute penalty by Mohamed Salah to earn a point.
Manchester United did not muster a single shot in the first half.
The result saw Liverpool drop to second on the table behind leaders Arsenal on goal difference, with the Gunners taking a trip to Old Trafford on the penultimate weekend of the season.
Klopp will be cheering on Manchester United on that occasion and will be hoping their fiercest rivals can do them a favour against Mikel Arteta's side.
The German however believes Erik Ten Hag's side will need to improve if they are to get anything from that game.
"Probably," said the Liverpool boss, when asked if he would be cheering for United on 11 May.
"If we are still around then that would be great.
"But Arsenal are a good football team. If they [United] play like today, Arsenal will win the game, I am 100% sure. I am sorry to say that."
It was the second time in three weeks Liverpool have failed to beat Manchester United at Old Trafford after the Red Devils progressed 4-3 in an FA Cup quarterfinal tie last month.
