Europa League Quarterfinal Draw: Frankfurt Vs Barcelona, West Ham Meet Lyon
The draw for the quarterfinal stage of the 2021/2022 UEFA Europa League has been held this afternoon in Nyon, Switzerland, drawing up some mouthwatering ties.
Already some big guns have fallen by the wayside after the likes of FC Porto were eliminated by Olympique Lyon on Thursday, and serial winners Sevilla knocked out by West Ham United.
German outfit RB Leipzig got a walkover against Russian side Spartak Moscow in the round of 16 but they will meet Atalanta in the quarterfinals.
Portuguese side Braga will take on Glasgow Rangers and West Ham United have a date with Olympique Lyon.
Barcelona will take in a trip to Germany to face Eintracht Frankfurt.
The first legs for the last eight games will take place on 7th April while the second legs are on 14th April.
The final for this season’s Europa League will be held at Sevilla's Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan stadium on May 18, 2022.
Champions League quarterfinalists Villarreal are the current holders of the competition after beating Manchester United at the Gdansk Arena in Poland in May last year.
