West Ham United have been slapped with a 100,000 pounds ($130,000) fine by the English Football Association for crowd disturbances last season.
West Ham United supporters marred the side's Premier League 3-0 home defeat to Burnley in March last season by invading the pitch.
There were chaotic scenes at the London Stadium as the supporters besieged the pitch, with one brandishing the corner flag while another tussled with the West Ham captain, Mark Noble.
West Ham United co-owners, David Gold and David Sullivan, also had their fair share of the attacks when some fans directed their fury to them and caused them to leave the directors' box early for their own safety.
A statement from the FA on Tuesday said West Ham United were being fined to ensure that their spectators conducted themselves properly.
"West Ham had been fined for failing to ensure that its spectators conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and that no spectators or unauthorised persons encroached onto the pitch,” said the FA.
West Ham United have, on the other hand, announced on Tuesday they have imposed a life ban on some supporters in relations to the incident following their investigations into the matter.
“Following the conclusion of the FA inquiry, we would like to reaffirm our sincere apologies for the scenes witnessed at our home game against Burnley almost a year ago."
