Manchester United have completed their second summer signing with the capture of Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace.
The England U-21 international moves to Old Trafford on a five-year deal worth £50m and will earn £80,000 a week.
Wan-Bissaka, in a breakthrough season at Selhurst Park, made 35 Premier League appearances as Crystal Palace finished in 12th place last campaign.
Wan-Bissaka was part of the England side that exited at the group stage of the ongoing European U-21 Championships.
"It's an unbelievable feeling and an honour to call myself a Manchester United player and something I know that only a small number of players have the privilege to say," Wan-Bissaka told Manchester United's website.
"I can't wait to get going and integrated into the squad. I will have a short break now after the European Championships but I'm looking forward to starting training with the manager and my new team-mates on the pre-season tour."
Manchester United, who are looking to improve upon their sixth placed finish last time out, have already signed Daniel James for £15m from Championship side Swansea City but have lost club captain Antonio Valencia and Ander Herrera following the expiration of their contracts.
“Aaron is one of the best upcoming defenders in the Premier League. He has the right work ethic, talent and mentality to play for Manchester United and he fits exactly the type of player that we are looking to bring into the squad to help us improve and push on further,” Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said of his latest recruit.
“Aaron is a young, hungry player and eager to learn and that’s important at his age. I am delighted he has signed with us and we look forward to continuing his tremendous development so far.”
The transfer fee United have forked out for Wan-Bissaka makes him the club’s fifth most expensive signing behind Paul Pogba, Romelu Lukaku, Angel di Maria and Fred.
