Man City Jet Off For Asia Pre-season Tour

By Joshua Walters

After long-awaited hours in England, Premier League champions Manchester City have finally set off for their pre-season tour of Asia.

Due to an ‘administrative issue’, the Citizens’ flight arrangements were cancelled as that delayed them for two days later than originally scheduled.

The side, who were supposed to fly to China on Saturday were denied from boarding their plane, but have officially set off to Asia on Monday.

To make the development official, the club released a statement confirming the change of plans in their Asia pre-season exercise blaming "an unforeseen administrative issue beyond the club's control", with their travel company the object to suffer much of the blames.

Rumours on Sunday suggested the two consecutive Premier League champions’ flight had been cancelled again.

But the side failed to confirm the news at that time before a tweet on their official Twitter handle confirmed the development a day later that the circulating news in the domain is accurate.

And City on Monday posted pictures of their players ready to board the plane as they wrote on their twitter handle; "On the way," though they had been late for close to 48 hours later than originally planned.

Manchester City will begin their pre-season campaign with a game against fellow Premier League outfit West Ham United in Nanjing on Wednesday, before they play Kitchee in Hong Kong with a clash against Yokohama F. Marinos in Japan on July 27 to finish their pre-Community Shield games.
