Hazard: I Told Chelsea About My Future Weeks Ago

Chelsea star, Eden Hazard has revealed that he is waiting for a response from the club after communicating to them a decision on his future.

Hazard’s proclamation has dropped the strongest possible hint that he could well be on his way to European champions, Real Madrid.

Chelsea ended their Premier League campaign with a goalless draw away at Leicester City to secure third place, but the game could be Hazard’s last in the competition as he enters into the final year of his contract with Real Madrid interested in his services.

The Belgium national team captain, whose 15 assists won him the Premier League playmaker award, told the media after the game that the club are aware of his immediate future plans.

"I have made my decision but it is not just about me. I told the club a couple of weeks ago. I wanted it to be cleared up earlier but that's not happened. I'm still waiting, like the fans are waiting,” Hazard said after the game.

"We have a final to play and then I will see. It has never been a distraction. When you are on the pitch, you try to be focused on the pitch with the ball. That's it.

"When I am on the pitch I just try to do the best. I am not thinking about this and this, my situation or the club's situation. I just try to win games."

Hazard joined Chelsea from French outfit, Lille, in 2012 for a transfer fee reported to be in the region of £32 million.

In 36 Premier league games for the just-ended season, Hazard recorded 16 goals with 15 assists while he is yet to score in the Europa League after 7 appearances, with his side set to play Arsenal in the final on 29th May in Baku.
