Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored a brace as he helped Arsenal to a dramatic 4-2 win over North London rivals Tottenham Hotspurs at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

Lukas Toreira scored his first Arsenal goal, but Aubamyang stole the show with two goals; the first of which put the hosts in front before the second goal that drew parity for the side, having surrendered the lead to go down 2-1 before the first half.

The win extends Arsenal’s Premier League unbeaten run to 12 and keeps them in the 4th position with 30 points same as Spurs lie a space beneath them despite tied on points.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang opened the scores in the 10th minute from the penalty spot, after referee Mike Dean had awarded a spot-kick and a yellow card to Jan Vertonghen for handling the ball in the goal area.

Arsenal failed to take their chance in the 19th minute when Alex Iwobi hit a first-time effort into Leno’s hands, and Spurs made them pay in the 30th minute when Eric Dier connected to Christian Eriksen’s free-kick to direct a thunderous header inside the left post.

The visitors turned the game on its head, two minutes later, when Dean awarded them a penalty after Rob Holding’s careless diving tackle on Heung-min Son, and Harry Kane sent Leno the wrong way to make it 2-1 for the visitors.

Aubameyang leveled up for Arsenal eleven minutes after the restart with a spectacular first-time finish from the edge of the area to register his 10th goal of the season and one that puts him on top of the season’s Goal Scorers chart.

Juan Foyth lost possession trying to shield the ball from Aaron Ramsey in the 74th minute, and a through pass to Alexandre Lacazette saw the Frenchman shooting into the net and almost falling afterward.

Three became four after just three minutes when Aubameyang played in Lucas Torreira, who showed great determination to get to the ball, before a couple of defenders, to shoot into the left side of the net.

Things got worse for Mauricio Pochettino’ Spurs, five minutes to time, when Jan Vertonghen received a second yellow card and its accompanying matching off orders from Michael Dean.
