Moura Calls On Spurs To Keep ‘Tough To Replace’ Kane

Kane’s long-term future in North London has come under increased scrutiny in recent weeks after he admitted he would not stay at the club ‘for the sake of it’.

Despite being one of the most lethal frontmen in world football, Kane is yet to win any silverware with Jose Mourinho’s men.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup top scorer has attracted interest from the likes of Real Madrid and domestic rivals Manchester United, with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy reportedly ready to sanction a £200m sale.

Moura wants Tottenham to look beyond the money any potential Kane sale would generate for the club and keep their talisman.

"It's hard to speak about the future, about a negotiation because it's a personal decision. I'm sure that every season Tottenham receive offers for Harry Kane," he told Sky Sports.

"It's not me who has to decide, but of course I want to play with him in the next season. I want to stay with him because he's very important for us and it's not easy to find a player like him.

"Everyone knows he's a big player. He's very important for us, he's our striker and scores almost every game. I'm sure that [Jose] Mourinho wants to keep him. He counts on him for the rest of the season as well as for the next one."

Kane scored 17 goals in 25 games before his season was curtailed with a hamstring injury at the start of the year.
