Joining the Gunners in January 2018 for then a club record of £56 million, Auba has become a mainstay for the Gunners.

Discussing the goal poacher's move to London, Joachim believes the former Saint Etienne man will regret for allowing himself to be persuaded by money to join Arsenal as he watches the Champions League behind a television set.

“Aubameyang, who plays great at Arsenal, will probably be warm-hearted when he looks at his bank account, but on Wednesdays, will be saddened when he has to watch the Champions League on television,’ Watzke told Suddeutsche Zeitung.

“Some go to clubs because of this money, where they have not played Champions League for years.”

Replying to the 60-year-old’s comment on his social media handle, Aubameyang, who since departing Dortmund has not tasted Champions League football stressed his former CEO has no moral rights to crticise him.

“Better for you I never talk about why I really left Dortmund Mr Watzke you such a clown,’ he wrote on Twitter.

‘I remember that time you said we never gonna sell Ousmane then you saw more than 100M you were the first to take that money don’t talk about money please!!! Leave me alone pls (sic).”

Having shared the Premier League’s top scorer award with fellow African folks of Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah, Auba has picked up from where he left last season with 7 goals in seven Premier League games thus far and will look to bulge the net again when Arsenal host Standard Liege for their second Europa League tie at the Emirates on Thursday.
