Young Signs New Man United Deal

Ashley Young has committed his immediate future to Manchester United with a new one-year deal.

The winger cum left-back signed the dotted lines on Monday after months of negotiations with the club.

Young, 33, only had a few months left on his existing deal but had remained firm in his desire to remain with the Old Trafford outfit.

The former England international joined United as a winger in 2011 from Aston Villa and has made 227 appearances for the club, scoring 17 goals and winning a clutch of trophies including the Premier League and Europa League.

Time has seen Young's position being changed to the left-back role, and the player has been encouraging at the position, leading him to win a spot in England's team for the 2018 World Cup in Russia where the Red Devils ended in 4th place.

The tale has been indifferent for Young at Manchester United as he has established himself as a key member of the squad and gone on to make 25 appearances in all competitions this season with a goal to show.

Young's new deal will tie him at Old Trafford until the end of the 2019/20 season.
