A court in Munich has fined Barcelona’s Arturo Vidal €800,000 over a nightclub brawl in the German capital in 2016.

Also charged by the court are Vidal’s brother named Sandrino and his father-in-law who were said to be with the Barcelona star at the time of the incident.

The incident saw the midfielder hitting another reveler with a vodka bottle, and TZ reports that the latter sustained severe head injuries.

Vidal, who was playing for Bayern Munich, went to the club with Sandrino and the father-in-law whose name was not given.

The two other culprits have also been found guilty and charged €20,000 and €41,000 respectively.

Neither Vidal nor his relatives were present during the court ruling.
