Ramsey Set For Medicals At Juventus

Arsenal Aaron Ramsey is set to undergo medicals in Turin with reports suggesting that the Welsh midfielder could seal a move to Juventus on Sunday.

Ramsey, whose current contract with Arsenal is expected to expire at the end of the 2018/19 season, will be leaving the club as a free agent having refused to sign a one-year contract extension that was tabled to him by the club.

Sky Italy reports that Ramsey has agreed to personal terms with the Serie A defending champions in a deal that is likely to be finalised on Wednesday after the club’s Super Cup game against AC Milan.

The former Cardiff City player has been struggling for first team place since the arrival of Spanish trainer Unai Emery who replaced Arsenal’s long-serving manager Arsene Wenger.

Ramsey opted for an upsurge in his weekly wage, an increment that would have brought him to the level of German star Mesut Ozil, but his request was denied by the club.

Ramsey joined Arsenal in 2008 in a £5 million deal and has played eighteen Premier League games this season for the club, scoring two goals and just a goal in three Europa League matches.

Ramsey’s current situation at Arsenal made him a target by many European clubs, but reports state he has signed a pre-contract papers with the Turin outfit which would be the end of the pursuit by the other suitors.
