Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has confirmed he is leaving Arsenal for Juventus next summer as the Wales international reveals he has signed a pre-contract with the Italian giants.

Rumours emerged Ramsey issued a statement in the wake of an announcement that he has signed a pre-contract agreement with Juventus.

The Wales international, aged 28, will join the Serie A champions on a free transfer on July 1. He will reportedly earn wages of £400,000-a-week.

Ramsey posted on Twitter to assure fans that he will give his all for the Gunners between now and the end of the season. He also said he was leaving the Emirates Stadium with a heavy heart.

He wrote: “As you may have already heard, I have agreed a pre-contract with Juventus Football Club.

“I wanted to issue a personal statement for all the Arsenal fans who have been extremely loyal and supportive.

“You welcomed me as a teenager and have been there for me through all the highs and lows I’ve encountered during my time at the club.

“It is with a heavy heart that I leave after 11 incredible years in North London.

“I will continue to give the team 100 per cent and hope to finish the season strongly, before heading on to my next chapter in Turin.”

Ramsey, who is Arsenal's longest serving player having joined in 2008 from Cardiff, has made 30 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring three goals.

Ramsey will become the third Welshman to represent Juventus after John Charles and Ian Rush.
