Neymar Junior scored a hat-trick, and Edinson Cavani, Angel Di Maria, and Kylian Mbappe scored a goal each as Paris Saint-German ran the route over Red Star Belgrade on a Champions League night at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday.

Thomas Tuchel’s side lost the opening game of the 2018/19 season by 3-2 at Liverpool, a fortnight ago, and the big win on match day-two means the Parisians have gotten their campaign back on winning ways.

Neymar opened the floodgates in the 20th minute by perfectly curling free-kick over the human wall and into the left side of the post.

Neymar doubled the lead for the hosts after just two minutes. A superb work from Kylian Mbappe, who played a vital role in the buildup, ended with the French international squaring to Neymar, who beats Milan Borjan with a brilliant shot into the top of the net.

Cavani made matters worse for the visitors in the 37th minute by displaying quick feet and dribbling to make his way through multiple challenges before taking a shot from inside the box, which deflected before going past the stranded Milan Borjan.

Again, PSG did not allow the dusk to settle before they increased the tally through Di Maria in the 42nd minute. The Argentine met a perfect cross from Thomas Meunier, deep inside the box, and controlled it with a nice first touch before producing an accurate strike into the bottom left corner.

PSG maintained their dominance in the second half, and Cavani played a simple square pass into the feet of Mbappe, in the box, and the French youngster composed himself and lashed the ball into the middle of the goal.

Marko Marin pulled one back for Vladan Milojevi?’s Red-Whites in the 74th minute when he fed on Lorenzo Ebecilio’s pass to unleash an unstoppable shot into the top right corner.

But Neymar, who had started the massacre in the 20th minutes, completed the run the 81st minute by scoring a beautiful 25-meter free kick by arrowing the ball into the top right corner and beyond goalkeeper Milan Borjan.
