Navas Says Madrid Are Missing Ronaldo

Real Madrid goalkeeper, Keylor Navas, admits the Los Blancos have missed the services of Cristiano Ronaldo in both the Lal Liga and the Champions League.

The Portuguese superstar left Madrid for the Turin based-club, this summer, after leading the Spanish giants to four Champions League titles with a scoring record that makes him not just the leading goal scorer for his team but also in Europe.

Real Madrid have not scored in two La Liga games and one Champions League outing this season, and the shot-stopper feels Julen Lopetegui’s side has lost their bite, following the departure of Roanldo.

“Cristiano left the bar very high at Real Madrid," says Navas. "You cannot cover the sun with a finger." He made many goals while he was here, but it's already the past and we cannot live in the past."

Real Madrid lost 1-0 to CSKA Moscow on day-two of the 2018/19 Champions League on a night when they struck the woodwork on three occasions.

"We are sad because they had one chance and took it. We made some stellar chances, but could not get it in. In every game, you want to score goals and we had some chances to do so. We were unlucky.”

The result leaves Real Madrid in third place on the log, and a manageable double-header against Czech Republic side Victoria Plzen to come later in the month, Navas insists that the side ‘wants to start scoring again in the coming games."
