Marcelo Hits Out At

Marcelo has responded to rumors linking him with a move out of Real Madrid and says they are being peddled by ’jealous journalists’ who cannot play football.

Marcelo said at the post-match press conference after Real Madrid beat Viktoria Plzen 2-1 at the Bernabeu on Tuesday. The rumors were bringing his commitment to question though he has no such intentions.

"My future? I have not received or listened to any offer. No one is a more Madridista than me"

Marcelo was the subject of several transfer rumors last summer with hosts of news portals, reporting that he close to following his former Real Madrid teammate Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus.

Marcelo captained Julen Lopetegui’s side as it came back to winning ways in Europe after a 1-0 loss at CSKA Moscow in the previous fixture.

"When you don't win, everything gets harder, but only the media talked about a crisis. Maybe that's because journalists can't play football and they are jealous," Marcelo added.
