Manchester City To Welcome Bayern

Manchester City are forced to consider an offer from Bayern Munich for contract rebel Leroy Sane.

The former Schalke 04 player is on the wish list of the Bundesliga champions, who might almost certainly need to make the 23-year-old their record signing.

Bayern president Uli Hoeness confirmed on Thursday that the German champions are investigating the likelihood of landing Sane, who is viewed as an ideal replacement for departing pair, Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery.

Hoeness stressed not long ago that they won't spend more than €80million (£70m) on any player, a figure they disbursed to sign Lucas Hernandez from Atletico Madrid.

Sane is said to be priced at £90m by City, who are probably not going to face an offer lower than that.

With Bernardo Silva and Raheem Sterling being Guardiola's first decisions in the wide positions during the treble-winning season, Sane has endured a limited playing time.

Sane was splendid in the start of the season but failed to hit the ground running after an extended holiday, becoming an out of favour.

Sane has refused to sign a new contract with the Citizens as he has just two years left on his present contract.

The left-footed winger has played thirty-one games with ten goals and ten assists aside his four goals in eight Champions League appearances.

Manchester City recruited the German midfielder from Schalke 04 in 2016 for a reported £37 million transfer fee signing a five-year contract.

Reports are that, Manchester City will prefer to offload Sane as a way to replace him with Portuguese giants Benfica’s wonderkid Jao Felix who is currently a hotcake for top European clubs.
