Cristiano Ronaldo scored, but could not stop Juventus from dropping their first points of the 2018/19 Serie A season as the champions were at home by Genoa on Saturday.

The Portuguese icon put Massimiliano Allegri’s men ahead with his fourth goal of the campaign, in the 18th minute, but saw his lead canceled by Daniel Bessa in the 67th minute after a defensive hauler.

Juventus' unbeaten run is still intact, and they sit at the top of the pecking order with 25 points as Ivan Juric’s men also occupy the 10th spot with 13 points.

Cristiano Ronaldo connected with a cross from out wide in the six-yard box in the 14th minute, but only planted his header onto the right post.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner ran to the right place at the right time in the 18th minute and pounced on a rebound inside the box to gleefully rifle the ball home.

The Juventus defense went to sleep in the 67th minute and allowed Cristian Kouame all the time and space to send an in-swinger into the goal area which was headed home by an unmarked Daniel Bessa.

Cristiano Ronaldo received a lofted pass in the goal area and unleashed a dangerous header, which sailed narrowly wide of the right post.

Paulo Dybala wasted a glorious opportunity in the 77th minute when a ball rebounded to him in the penalty box. The Argentine wasted the chance as he shot a whisker wide the right post.

Mario Mandzukic displayed brilliant awareness inside the six-yard box and leaped high to meet a free kick. The Croatian tried to put his header into the bottom left corner, but Andrei Radu kept the ball out of danger.
