Guardiola: Man City Can Still Improve

By Joshua Walters

Pep Guardiola has rejected Maurizio Sarri’s description of Manchester City as the ‘best in Europe’ and said his already dominant side is at its peak yet.

Manchester City face Chelsea on Saturday already unbeaten this season, winning 13 times and drawing twice in 15 games.

Manchester City lead the log with 41 points with a scoring rate of three goals-per-game.

Sarri’s Chelsea followed the champions closely until defeats at Tottenham Hotspurs and Wolvahmption Wanderers fell them to 5th place on the log and ten points adrift the top.

Sarri described Pep Guardiola’s Citizens as ‘the best in the world’ ahead of this weekend's clash, but Guardiola insists his team has room to improve.

“Thank you (to Sarri) but we are not the best. We have to win the titles, but we didn’t win the titles to be the best team in Europe."

“Thinking that it's not necessary to improve would be the most dangerous thing. We can do better.”
