Emerson Admits Chelsea Players Are Afraid Of Losing Hazard

Chelsea’s Italian left back Emerson Palmieri has admitted that the club’s players are afraid of losing Eden Hazard at the end of the season.

Hazard has not hidden his desire of securing a dream move to Real Madrid, but he has also left the possibility of extending his stay at Chelsea open.

Hazard recently revealed that he has made his mind up of what to do at the end of the season, but he has remained tight lipped on his decision.

The Belgian’s contract with Chelsea comes to a conclusion at the end of next season when he will be able to leave the club for free.

"He shows every day how important he is," Emerson told Sky Sports. "Obviously we have many players of quality in our team but he is on another level, and is one of the best in the world.

"I personally cannot see him leaving, but you never know in football. Like Chelsea fans, we are afraid that he might leave, I still believe that he will stay and we really want him to stay."

Real Madrid’s recent appointment of Zinedine Zidane as their new manager has stoked the fire even further with reports that the European Champions are ready to break the bank with a £100m offer for the Belgium national team captain.

Hazard has arguably been Chelsea’s player of the season so far, with his last minute strike to earn the Blues a point against Wolves at the weekend, taking his tally to 13 goals from 28 Premier League appearances.
