Paris Saint-Germain forward Angel Di Maria has hinted that his spell at Old Trafford was ruined after he had a confrontation with former Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal.

The Argentine player stressed such wouldn’t had happened if the Dutch trainer had showed him decent gestures at the club.

The former Real Madrid player added that the birth of his spell at the club witnessed a harmonious relationship with the manager until he began to show him the negative acts when he taught he deserves better.

Di Maria joined Manchester United in the summer 2014 for a British record fee of £60 million where he spent just a season scoring three goals in twenty-seven games.

“I was at Manchester and everything was fine with Van Gaal during the first two months.”

“After one fight, things weren't the same. The relationship wasn't the same.”

“The fight with Van Gaal occurred because he was always showing me bad and negative things and all that held me back.”

“One day I fought with him. I told him I didn't want to see those things anymore, that I was doing things well and asked him why he wasn't showing me good things.”

“He didn't like how I spoke to him and from there the whole problem started.”
