Mourinho Criticises Inter’s Handling Of Eriksen Transfer

Eriksen has made his intentions clear of not wanting to continue his six-and-a-half-year stint in North London since the beginning of the season.

Inter Milan have since registered an interest in the 27-year-old Dane but a deal has not materialised despite discussions being held with the Tottenham board.

Eriksen travelled with the Tottenham squad for their 1-1 FA Cup fourth round at Southampton on Saturday but was not included in the matchday squad as his future remains unresolved.

With less than a week left for the winter transfer window to slam shut, Mourinho has been left livid his former club, whom he led to the treble in 2010, have still not concluded a deal for Eriksen.

"You can read what you want to read [into Eriksen being left out] - I just want to say that this situation shouldn't happen on the 25th of January," Spurs boss Mourinho said of the former Ajax Amsterdam playmaker.

"And it is not Tottenham's fault that on the 25th of January we are in the situation.

"The only thing I can say is Eriksen, since I arrived, he is behaving in a very, very professional way, with me and the team.

"Tottenham is the last one to blame for this situation, but to be on the 25th of January in a situation like this is not nice."

Eriksen has made 20 Premier League appearances for Tottenham this season, scoring two goals.
