Paulo Dybala has become the latest Juventus player to test positive for the Coronavirus disease.

Dybala announced on Saturday that he and his partner Oriana Sabatini had succumbed to the virus.

The couple have shown mild symptoms so far and are self-isolating at home.

Dybala becomes the third Juventus player to test positive for Coronavirus after Daniele Rugani and French world cup winner Blaise Matuidi.

A statement from the Italian champions read:"Paulo Dybala has undergone medical tests that revealed a positive result for Coronavirus-COVID19.

"He has been in voluntary home isolation since Wednesday 11 March.

"He will continue to be monitored, following the usual regime. He is well and is asymptomatic."

Dybala added on Twitter:"Hi everyone, I just wanted just to inform you that we have received the results for the Covid-19 test and both Oriana and I have tested positive.

"Luckily we are in perfect conditions. Thanks for your messages."

By some distance, Italy is the worst hit European country with 53,578 Coronavirus cases and 4,825 deaths.

Like most league’s in Europe, the Serie A is on hold for now with Juventus holding a one-point advantage over Lazio after 26 games.

Dybala has made 34 appearances so far for Juventus this season and has scored 13 goals in all competitions.

Meanwhile, AC Milan technical director Paolo Maldini and his 18-year-old son Daniel, who recently made his debut for the Rosonerri first team, have also tested positive for the virus.
