Paris Saint-Germain talisman Neymar is set for a ten-day recovery trip to his county, Brazil,  for a recovery process.

A statement on PSG's website said the club was behind the player’s recovery exercise and are also impressed with the progress being made by the player.

“Paris St Germain again shows its full support for Neymar Jr and the determination he has shown since the beginning of his recovery.”

Neymar has been receiving treatment under joint efforts from the medical team of PSG and his former club, Barcelona, as he battles a recurrent injury.

The PSG ace aggravated a foot injury in his side's win against Strasbourg in a Coupe de France by injuring the fifth metatarsal in his right foot and getting condemned to a 10-week spell on the sidelines as a result.

The injury saw the most expensive player in the world missing the Champions League first-leg knockout stage tie with Manchester United and also six domestic games, one Coupe de France game and five Ligue 1 matches.

Neymar has been an integral figure in Thomas Tuchel’s squad leading the team to the top of the French Ligue 1 table with 65 points after twenty-four games scoring 13 in his thirteen appearances and 5 in six Champions League fixtures.

Paris Saint-Germain face Manchester United in the return fixture of the Champions League second leg knockout stage game on March 6.

The former Santos player is a doubt for the clash but is nonetheless racing against time to be fit for it.
