Eden Hazard has been named as the Professional Footballers Association (PFA) Fans’ Player of the Year in a poll that was open to all supporters.

The Belgian national team captain scoped the award with 34 percent of the votes.

Hazard recorded 16 goals and 15 assists for the just ended season which is the highest contribution to goals scored in the Premier League this season.

The former Lille forward emerged as the winner leaving behind Liverpool’s duo Virgil van Dijk and Sadio Mane, Man City’s Bernardo Silva, Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling.

Having won Premier League’s Playmaker of the season, Hazard also won Players’ Player of the Year and Goal of the Season award for 2019 at the Chelsea end of season awards.

Hazard becomes the first player of the London based club to win the accolade for the first time after Lampard won it in 2005.

Despite winning the award, the 28-year-old forward is still uncertain of his future at the club as several reports have linked him with a move away from the Stamford Bridge to join Real Madrid this summer.

Hazard, in an interview about weeks ago cited that his future will be officially announced after the Europa League final against Arsenal at Baku.

“I do not think about any of that.

“I only think about winning the match, then what has to happen will happen.

“Yes I have made my decision but it is not just about me, I have made my decision, that's it.”
