Emery Demands Consistency From Ozil

Arsenal manager, Unai Emery, has challenged Mesut Ozil to become a constant performer and not an unreliable character in the club.

Ozil has been one of Arsenal's key assets since joining the Emirates Stadium outfit from Real Madrid in 2013 for £42.5 million.

But the German offensive player is yet to become a dominant force at the club as he plays well in a game and fades out in another, especially in big games.

"His commitment is good, he trains well," Emery told Sky Sports. "I have spoken with him and I push him to give even more quality in matches, and keep up the good performances against big and small teams, home and away."

"Every player has their challenge to help the team. They all have a challenge individually and collectively to improve."

Ozil has scored three goals and provided one assist in ten Premier League games this season, and Emery is determined to make the most of the former German international’s natural ability.

"And with Mesut, a big player, we need to continue working to hold that high level of quality in each match."

Arsenal will be looking to get back to winning ways after three straight draws in the League when they take on Bournemouth at the Vitality stadium on Sunday.
