Angel Di Maria snatched a late point for Paris Saint-Germain as Thomas Tuchel's side came from behind to draw 2-2 against Napoli at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday.

Lorenzo Insigne gave Napoli the lead in the 29th minute before Marco Rui canceled it out for the hosts with an own goal in the 61st minute.

Dries Mertens restored the lead in the 77th minute with Angel Di Maria also saving the bruises of the hosts by snatching a late equaliser, three minutes into added time.

The draw puts Napoli in 2nd place of Group-C with 5 points from three games; a point adrift leaders Liverpool, who beat bottom club FK Crvena Zvezda 4-0 at Anfield on the night as PSG also occupy the  3rd position with 4 points.

Neymar had a goalbound shot cleared to safety in the 2nd minute, Edinson Cavani fired a beautiful first-time shot wide of the left post in the 7th minute, ten minutes before David Ospina saved the Uruguayan striker’s shot towards the middle of the box with an eye-catching save.

Jose Callejon got the ball in the 29th minute and slipped Lorenzo Insigne through, who scored with a delightfuly chipped finish before David Ospina again showed off his skills and made a brilliant save to deny him Kylian Mbappe from directing a shot into the middle of the goal.

The Napoli goalkeeper thwarted Neymar’s shot towards the bottom right corner in the 50th minute and palmed out Thomas Meunier’s promising header two minutes after.

Thomas Meunier burst into the Napoli defense in the 61st minute and hit a shot which Mario Rui intercepted into his own net in his attempt to clear it to safety.

Dries Mertens nicely turned his man inside the box in the 68th minute, but placed his effort just wide of the right post, but scored full marks in the 77th when he appeared at the right place at the right time to gleefully rifle a rebound into the right side of the goal.

Neymar shot a free kick from around 22 meters out towards the underside of the crossbar, David Ospina again proved worthy by denying the Brazilian with a decent save.

Angel Di Maria drew PSG level three minutes into extra time by taking a great first touch to control a killer pass on the edge of the box before curling the ball into the top left corner in trademark fashion.
